The Indian government at the centre, has informed the Supreme Court that it will set up 12 special courts to try politicians. The Central government informed that it has spent 7.8 crores to establish 12 special courts to try criminal cases against MP's and MLA's of our country.
The centre informed the Supreme Court about the above mentioned scheme on Tuesday. The scheme was approved by the Finance minister on 8th December, 2017.
The Supreme Court directed the Centre to bring forth the details of 1851 cases involving politicians,on 1st November.The notion of the scheme is to erase politics from criminality and corruption and try exclusive cases against politicians at an accelerated speed.
